You can say that the arts were in Jennifer's blood right from the start. She was born into a family
of actors - father, John Aniston, and godfather, Telly Savalas. She not only has talent is the preforming arts, but also in
painting and sculppting. This naive of California, spent a year of her childhood in Greese, shortafter returning to New York,
her parents divorced. She was mostly raised by her mother, because of her father's acring carreer. Her first taste of acting came at the age of 11, when she joined Rudolf Steiner School's drama club.
She began to take her acting career a lot more seriously and she began her professional training as a drama student at New
York's High School of the Performing Arts, graduating in 1987. After her graduation she appeared in Off-Broadway productions as "For Dear Life" and "Dancing on Checker's
Grave". Later, in 1989, she landed her firtst television role on "Molloy" as a series regular. In 1994 she finally got the break she was waiting for. She was to audition for the part of Monica in
a pilot called "Friends Like These" (Later shortened to Friends). Jennifer refused, and auditioned for the part of Rachel,
a spoiled rich girl who is forced to lead the not-so-fancy life of a waitress. The series was a hit! Everyone loved Friends
and fell in love with Jennifer's haircut! Jennifer was listed among People Magazine's "Most Intriguing People" of 1995 and 1996. In 2000, after
a widely publicized battle with NBC, Jennifer and her fellow cast members negotiated a salary of $750,000 per episode. Friends,
as of today, is one of the most popular sitcoms on television. Jennifer married William Bradley Pitt on July, 29th 2000 in Malibu. On October 25 2000, Jennifer officially
changed her last name to Pitt; she still uses her maiden name, Aniston, professionally. (Update: She divorced Pitt on Oct.
