Like Season One the Doodlebops will show 26 new episodes
for the World Famous Doodlebop Band. Season Two should begin airing in the United States in mid-January on the Disney Channel.
Season two has finished filming and begun showing in Canada, on December 12, 2005.
The 2nd Season of the Doodlebops has a few changes in the
cast that will surprise everyone. For example, the Doodlebops will no longer wear head masks with fake ears; so we will no
longer see cloth around their faces. This is a much-welcomed change and one the Producer of the Doodlebops has wanted to make
since the beginning of the first season.
In addition, the clothing the Doodlebops wear is much more
flashy this season; and DeeDee herself will be in a shorter and tighter dress. Her hair is still pink but the wig she will
be wearing will look much more natural this year. Instead of thick makeup the makeup will be airbrushed for each show; making
it look more natural and much easier for the cast to dress for each episode.
Season Two will also feature the Doodlebops making videos
in the studio under the direction of a dog puppet named Audio Murphy. Since the Doodlebops are supposed to be a preschool
band; they have gone in this direction to show children what it is like to be in a band.
The two lady heads we are familiar with from season one are
now gone and have been replaced by a chicken; who is much more entertaining and much less scary for young children.
The biggest character change this year is the
manager will no longer be Mazz, as Kim Roberts has left the Doodlebops. The new manager will be Jazzmine, or Jazz, played
by the very well known Jackie Richardson, who happily joined the cast this year. While this was a hard decision for the Doodlebops
to make, it was done to give the manager more authority and stage presence. Jackie Robinson has taken over the role very nicely.
